Sven Lončarić
Životopis:
Sven Lončarić diplomirao je 1985. te magistrirao 1989. na Fakultetu elektrotehnike i računarstva Sveučilišta u Zagrebu. Od 1990. do 1994. boravio je u okviru Fulbrightovog programa na Sveučilištu u Cincinnatiju, SAD, gdje je i doktorirao 1994. u području digitalne obrade slike i računalnog vida. Od 1994. viši je asistent, od 1996. docent, a od 2001. izvanredni profesor na Fakultetu elektrotehnikee i računarstva u grupi predmeta Mreže, sistemi i signali.
Držao je nastavu iz ovih predmeta: Teorija mreža i linija, Teorija signala i sustava, Digitalna obrada signala, Digitalna obrada slike, Digitalna analiza slike, Neuronske mreže, Slučajni procesi u sustavima, Virtualna stvarnost i Telemedicina. Od 2001. do 2003. bio je Assistant Professor na Sveučilištu New Jersey Institute of Technology, SAD, gdje je predavao predmete Digitalna obrada slike, Mikroprocesori i Mikroprocesorski laboratorij.
Objavio je više od 100 radova u području digitalne obrade i analize slike te primjene neuronskih mreža u raspoznavanju uzoraka.Gglavni je urednik časopisa Journal of Computing and Information Technology, predsjednik IEEE Croatia Section te osnivač i organizator međunarodnog znanstvenog skupa “Int’l Symposium on Image and Signal Processing and Analysis (ISPA)”. Bio je organizator “8th International Summer School on Image Processing” održane u Zagrebu 2000. godine. Član je programskih odbora više međunarodnih znanstvenih skupova te recenzent za više uglednih međunarodnih znanstvenih časopisa.
